This value stands for what our not for profit organisation is about, linking the world of fishing with education and
to inspire children from all backgrounds. We will encourage and support our energetic volunteers,
empowering them to do a great job.

We will work collaboratively with volunteer and education partners to champion equality,
offering inclusive solutions that meet the diverse needs of all children.

We will look to form new partnerships in the interests of children, do things differently and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

Safeguarding Policy
Reeling In - Junior Anglers is a not for profit organisation that works with young people to help inspire, motivate, provide knowledge and have skills and opportunities they need to help them achieve their fishing potential.

We are committed to providing safe and supportive environments for everyone involved in our organisation and the work we do. We believe that everyone, has the right to be kept safe from harm, exploitation, abuse and neglect.
​
Every Reeling In - Junior Anglers representative has a personal responsibility for safeguarding children and adults. They do this by considering the safety and well-being of all those involved in our activities and by protecting children and adults from harm, exploitation, abuse and neglect, reporting concerns whenever this happens.

Our safeguarding commitment: Reeling In - Junior Anglers will:

promote the general safety and well-being of all.

develop trusting and respectful relationships with those we work with, recognising that they have rights as individuals and should be treated with dignity and respect. and in doing so, provide them with a safe and supportive environment.

take steps to ensure those involved in our organisation and the work we do are not discriminated against, by us, through being a child, or on grounds of age, sex, gender, disability, racial heritage, religious belief, sexual orientation, appearance or cultural background, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity.

Volunteer Code Of Conduct
At Reeling In - Junior Angler, we are accountable for the ways in which we work and have a duty to keep ourselves and others safe. This is achieved by maintaining a respectful, caring and professional approach to those we come into contact with and by conducting ourselves in a way that demonstrates integrity, maturity and good judgement.
As a volunteer in a Reeling In - Junior Anglers program you must always:

Be a good role model with behaviour and an attitude that are in line with our values and ethos.

Be friendly, courteous and kind at all times.

Treat everyone with dignity and respect in accordance with our Equality and Diversity Policy.

Respect other people’s privacy and boundaries.

Be responsible and accountable in the way you carry out your role.

Not act fraudulently or dishonestly or do anything that brings, or is likely to bring, Reelin In - Junior Anglers into disrepute.

Safeguarding Children
Reeling In - Junior Anglers takes safeguarding children very seriously and has robust procedures to address safeguarding issues.

We are looking for volunteers for both metro and regional SA.

Volunteers MUST have a current DHS/DCSI child-related employment check and be able to produce a copy of the clearance certificate.
